COUNCIL LOOKS AT NEW WAYS OF CONNECTING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY

Crewkerne Town Council is looking at new ways to reach out and connect with the people of Crewkerne. One of the ideas to form a closer bond with the local community will be trialled on Saturday August 17th from 2 pm to 3 pm at Number 7 The Cafe in Market Street. Coffee With Your Councillors will take the form of a drop in brief question and answer session. Members of the public are invited to come in and say hello to two of the town councillors, Cllr. Dan Wakeman, Chair of the Amenities Committee and Cllr. Charles Aslett, Vice Chair of the Planning & Highways Committee. Chats are planned to be informal for the public to find out what Crewkerne Town Council is all about. Residents who have concerns on a specific council related issue and would like to talk to a councillor in a private setting, will be guided to attend a Town Council Surgery. Forthcoming town council surgeries, when two councillors will be present, take place on Saturday September 21st, October 19th and November 16th, between 10.30 am and 12 noon in the Community Office at Crewkerne Town Hall.
