The outline planning application for a residential development of up to 150 dwellings on land south of Kithill with access from Lang Road, is on the Agenda for the August meeting of South Somerset District Council’s Area West Committee, which will take place in Chard Guildhall on Wednesday August 21st, beginning at 5.30 pm. Consideration of planning applications will commence no earlier than 6 pm but members of the public wishing to speak must inform the committee administrator before the meeting begins of their name, whether they have supporting comments or objections and who they are representing. The time allowed for each person is up to three minutes with a maximum of 15 minutes for the Public Question Time. Residents in Crewkerne who wish to attend the meeting are reminded to allow ample time for travelling, as a section of the main A30 between Crewkerne and Chard will still be closed due to roadworks being carried out by Somerset Highways. Diversions will be signposted but motorists may wish to consider an alternative route.
