A Cabaret evening with popular singer and entertainer Jan McNeill, hosted by the Crewkerne Branch of the Royal British Legion raised £404.00. Jan who has 37 years experience in the world of entertainment and has performed alongside many well known celebrities, including Sir Cliff Richard and Dame Shirley Bassey, gave a talk on her life on board cruise ships as a cabaret artiste and entertained the audience at the George Reynolds Centre with a medley of popular songs. Crewkerne Branch Secretary Alice Samuel said: “It was a fantastic evening and Jan McNeill got everyone up and dancing in the second half of the show. We would like to thank Jan, who performed generously at a much reduced rate for charity and everyone who attended the fundraising event. We had some lovely comments from members, saying how much they enjoyed the evening.”
