Pumpkin carving was just one of many craft activities for children at the Halloween coffee morning in the Speedwell Hall on Saturday, in aid of 1st Crewkerne and 2nd Crewkerne Brownies. The craft activities, which were all supervised by adult helpers, also included biscuit decorating with spooky designs and creating ‘spooktacular’ pictures with templates.
The community hall which is home to the 1st Crewkerne Brownies on Thursday evenings and 2nd Crewkerne Brownies on Tuesday evenings, was decorated in Halloween style with themed table cloths, which were admired by visitors while they enjoyed a hot drink, bacon roll or slice of homemade cake. The fundraising event also offered a tombola, bottle stall and a sweet stall and lucky dip for youngsters. It raised £150 for Brownie funds.
