Live Music Fundraiser For Specialist Bed/ Rotary Club’s Songs Of Praise
A Night of Live Music takes place at The White Hart Inn on Saturday November 23rd, to fundraise for a specialist UrZone bed for Rocco. Rocco has Angleman Syndrome, Epilepsy and Pica. Night times are particularly demanding for his mum Tina and as he grows older and stronger, he needs the new bed to keep him safe and give his mum peace of mind while he sleeps. The fundraiser features five bands, A Thousand Suns, John D Revelator, Dirtstew, Nigel Clatworthy and Nature’s Cage – a four piece acoustic local band whose musical inspiration comes from folk, rock and the Blues. Nature’s Cage are hosting the event and are grateful to Dave and everyone at The White Hart Inn for allowing them to hold it there. Live Music begins at 7.30 pm, entry is free and donations for Rocco on the night will be greatly appreciated.

This year’s Songs of Praise, organised by the Rotary Club of Crewkerne, will be hosted by the Christian Bible Centre in Haselbury Plucknett on Sunday November 24th at 6 pm. During the evening a presentation on behalf of Hope and Homes for Children will be given by Chrissie Bailey from Bridport. The charity was founded 25 years ago by Col. Mark Cooke, who having served in the former Yugoslavia, saw children suffering through no fault of their own. A retiring collection will be made in support of Hope and Homes for Children. Songs of Praise is an annual event, organised by the Rotary Club of Crewkerne and hosted by one of four churches in and around Crewkerne each year, to raise money for worthy causes through donations.
