ROTARIANS DONATE DICTIONARIES TO ACADEMY STUDENTS

The Rotary Club of Crewkerne have donated Usborne illustrated English dictionaries to every student in Year 5 at Maiden Beech Academy. The presentation was made by President Iain Rowland during a special assembly, led by the Rotarians at the Middle School in Crewkerne. Other Rotarians in attendance were Chairman of the Rotary Community Service Committee David Fradgley, Tony Cooper BEM, John Wyatt and Tim Spilsbury who inscribed each dictionary with the individual student’s name.

A spokesperson for Maiden Beech Academy said: “We would like to publicly thank the Rotary Club of Crewkerne, who very generously donated an Usborne dictionary/encyclopaedia to every child in Year 5. We are very grateful. It was lovely to see the children reading through and sharing the information they found.”
