Secret Art Auction Fundraiser For School Exchange/ Freemasons Christmas Dinner And Carol Singing

Artwork by former Children’s Laureate Sir Quentin Saxby Blake CBE, an English cartoonist, illustrator and children’s writer best known for illustrating books by Roald Dahl and by British children’s book illustrator and author Emma Chichester Clark, one of his former students at the Royal College of Art in London, are among Lots up for sale in a secret online art auction. The Secret Art Auction will be launched at an Exhibition of original artworks in the school hall at Maiden Beech Academy on Friday November 29th. The fundraising evening from 7.30 pm until 9 pm will also include a Christmas tombola and refreshments.

Bidding for the original artworks by professional and amateur artists, including works by school staff, students, families and friends will be open online from November 29th until 6 pm on December 8th,
Artists who have contributed work to the secret auction have signed their work on the back but the creator’s name will not be revealed until the piece is sold. Money raised will go towards funding an international exchange trip, to allow students from Year 8 to travel to the TVS School at Tumkur in Bangalore, India in February 2020.
