A Festive Fair held at Henhayes Centre raised £463.01 for the Yeovil & District Branch of Cats Protection. Volunteers for the local branch manned a variety of stalls, selling hand-crafted cushions, bags, cards and other gifts, bric-a-brac and toys, books and CD’s and CP merchandise that included Christmas cards, diaries and calendars for 2020. Visitors were also able to enjoy home-made cakes and try their luck at winning a prize on the tombola.
The fundraising event in Crewkerne was the Branchs’ last one of the year and they would like to thank Henhayes Centre for the warm welcome they received and all those who attended and helped to make the event a success, enabling them to continue their voluntary work to find “forever homes for unwanted cats and kittens.” In addition to rehoming, Yeovil & District Cats Protection assists families on low income or who receive benefit, to neuter or spay their cat. The branch also runs a lost and found register and provides free information and leaflets on cat care.
A monthly newsletter is produced to keep supporters of the charity’s work up-to-date, which anyone can sign up for costing an annual subscription of £8, delivered to your door by post or via email.
