DREAM CASTLE FOR EXCELLENT BOOK REVIEW

A dream to own a castle came true for a local five year old girl, when she won the Children’s Christmas Competition at Crewkerne Library. Children were invited to write and/or draw a review of their favourite story book, for a chance to win Disney’s Frozen castle made by Lego and kindly donated by Lego as the star prize. Lily Greenham chose to review her favourite book, Oi Duck-Billed Platypus by Kes Gray and Jim Field.

Sue Wright, Library and information assistant at Crewkerne Library said: “The judges were impressed by the amount of work she had put in for her age. All the entries were exceptionally good and the judges took a long time coming to a decision.” Proceeds from the competition will go to the Friends of Crewkerne Library who help to put on the events at the library and fund all the materials for children’s activities, throughout the year. The best way for a community to support their library, is to use it. Crewkerne Library will be running lots of fun activities, competitions for children and events for adults in 2020, so pop in and see what’s happening.
