Crewkerne Community Cinema’s first film of the New Year takes place at Wadham School auditorium on Friday January 10th at 7.30 pm. The BAFTA winning documentary, Nae Pasaran, is a true story, directed by Felipe Bustos Sierra and originally released as a short film in 2013. The story is set in a Scottish town in 1974, when factory workers refuse to carry out repairs on warplane engines, in an act of solidarity against the violent military coup in Chile. Four years pass before the engines that were left to rust in the factory yard, mysteriously disappear in the middle of the night. Visitors can attend an individual film for £6, payable at the door which opens at 7 pm. Refreshments of teas, coffees and cake will be available for donations to a charitable cause.
