FLOWERS TO SAY THANK YOU AT FARMERS MARKET

Flowers were presented to Pru Rose at the December Farmers Market, to say thank you for her support, by market co-ordinator Hannah. Pru of Old Castle Pork has been a regular attendant at the monthly market for 20 years and took over the voluntary post of Day Manager in February 2018 from Christine Langford. Pru has enjoyed her time at Crewkerne Farmers Market but is ready to embark on a new adventure and said a fond farewell to fellow producers and customers at the last market of 2019.

On the same day of the farewell presentation, a warm welcome was extended to new stall holders Stefanos’ Food selling Italian charcuterie and pastries, and students from Maiden Beech Academy who are raising money for the school trip to India by selling hand-crafted wooden products finished in Danish oil. Also in attendance were regulars, Islebeck Plants with Christmas wreaths, West Country Buffalo, Bower Hinton Farm Produce, North Perrott Fruit Farm, Wayford Vineyard, Ali’s homemade bread and bakes and the Somerset Cheese Company. Crewkerne Farmers Market would like to wish all their customers a Happy New Year. The market will be back outside of Henhayes Centre on Saturday January 18th form 9 am until 1 pm, when it will welcome organic soft cheese producer Whitelake Cheese, who will be joining the other stall holders, offering locally produced quality and award winning food and drink.
