MAYOR OPENS NEW BUSINESS SERVING HOT AND COLD TREATS

Crewkerne’s Mayor Kathy Head opened Pinky Promised Parlour on Saturday morning. The new business at 17 Market Square, on the corner of North Street, serves hot and cold treats in a freshly decorated and colourful cafe style setting. Open on Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive from 9 am to 5 pm, the current menu offers a range of ice creams, cakes and waffles as well as a selection of milkshakes and coffees and hot dogs, bacon rolls and veggie burgers. Pinky Promised Parlour also caters for birthday parties and welcomed their first children’s party on Saturday morning.

Proprietor Angie Cummins said: “A massive thank you to my husband Justin and everyone who has worked hard to make this happen. Pinky Promised Parlour was a great success on our first day. It’s a great place for the younger generation to go within the town, without needing to travel outside of Crewkerne to meet up and I am looking forward to catering for lots more birthday parties in the future.”
