Crewkerne Mayor Kathy Head was joined by Chard Town Crier Stuart Cumming on Saturday morning, for the Grand Opening of Ballantine Wealth Management at 29 Market Square in Crewkerne. Following a welcome speech by the town’s Mayor and a special written cry by Stuart, business director Leighton Ballantine thanked everyone for coming along to celebrate the opening of his company’s new office in the town.
Leighton who is a highly experienced Financial Advisor with 16 years industry experience, having previously worked for Lloyds Bank and more recently with the Nationwide Building Society, will run the office with his wife Svetlana and business manager Darryl. Ballantine Wealth Management is a partner practice of St Jame’s Place Wealth Management, specialising in providing a highly personalised and comprehensive financial planning service. Leighton said: “My vision to one day have my own practice and clients, has become a reality. This is a family business and we are looking forward to growing with the local community. Our ethos is to build long term client relationships with individuals, families and business owners, throughout the South West of England.”
The opening day’s Business Extravaganza, where refreshments were served, included a prize draw for an £80 gift voucher, donated by The Crooked Swan. The lucky winner was Karen Gough from Milborne Port, who is looking forward to dining with a friend in the restaurant of the recently refurbished boutique hotel in Church Street. The raffle raised £201.00, proceeds of which will be equally divided between Crewkerne Youth Club and Crewkerne Voluntary Transport. Leighton Ballantine said: “Despite Storm Dennis, we had a great turnout with over 100 people attending our office opening. It really was humbling to see so many show up. We thank you all for your kind messages and good wishes.”
