Crewkerne in Bloom has raised its online profile with an updated logo and brand new website. The gold award community project now has a catchy slogan ‘Planting beauty in our community’, running alongside its logo and Friends of Crewkerne in Bloom and other interested parties can keep up to date with news of events and progress reports by visiting A spokesperson for Crewkerne in Bloom said: “We would like to thank Sue Ayers for sponsoring the design and build of our new website. Sue will be joining us to help us with our online communications. We will be posting regular news posts on the website, about what we are doing in our lovely town and sending out a digital newsletter every month to those on our mailing list.”

In addition to the great work going on behind the scenes, Crewkerne in Bloom volunteers have been busy in the centre of the town and on the outskirts, planting pots with fresh flowers in shopping areas, redecorating and replenishing ornamental displays, such as the bicycle exhibit outside of the town hall and generally tidying up and planting out in council owned flower beds. Working parties for volunteers take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, usually meeting up at 10 am in Falkland Square near the library.
