CREMATORIUM TO CANCEL FUNERAL SERVICES

In community news just in – it has been announced that from Monday March 23rd, all funeral services at Yeovil Crematorium in Bunford Lane, are cancelled. For the time being, the Crematorium will still allow cremations to take place, behind closed doors.

Crewkerne Headlines And Topics spoke earlier today to local funeral director Tracey Warren of A E Stoodley & Son, about this latest development to combat the spread of coronavirus, Covid-19. Tracey said: “This is unprecedented times and we are working with our families to arrange a meaningful and dignified funeral for their loved ones, in a safe environment. Myself, Colin and Ellie are working exceedingly hard to help every family in this situation, both now and in the future.” The independent funeral service can still be contacted 24 hours a day on 01460 73229.

Stoodley & Son are also facilitators of the Grief Journey group, which announced earlier this month that meetings were suspended until further notice.
