FIRST WOODS OF NEW SEASON PLAYED AT BOWLING GREEN

The first woods of the new season were finally played at Severalls Jubilee Bowls Club on May 26th, following the postponement of the opening of the green, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Open Day and several social events have had to be cancelled but strict guidelines for play are now in operation, in line with the guidance from Bowls England and the Government, allowing limited numbers on the bowling green.

Club members, Ann Brolly and Christine Rawe delivered the first woods watched by Dave Brolly. It is hoped that as restrictions are lifted, more opportunities will become available for bowling and socialising. A spokesperson for Severalls Jubilee Bowls Club said: “It’s great to be back, albeit in a restricted way.”
