Crewkerne Farmers’ Market welcomes three new food producers to its monthly market in town on Saturday September 19th. Joining the regular line-up of stalls selling top quality and award winning locally produced food and drink are Porky Blinders with quality meat from their Oxford Sandy Black pigs, raised with the freedom to graze, White’s of Wicks selling prime beef from cattle sired by Charolais and Aberdeen Angus bulls and Melbury Farm offering ‘clean honest food’ from produce and animals on their farm, which include rare breed sheep whose wool is traditionally spun to make knitting wool.
Somerset Farmers’ Market coordinator Hannah said: “We are thrilled to offer you more range at Crewkerne Farmers’ Market this month. It was great to be back last month, despite the soggy weather. You made our lovely local food and drink producers smile by visiting us in the rain. Thank you for your continued support of local farmers and food producers.”
Regular producers who will be attending on Saturday include, Bower Hinton Farm Produce, Somerset Cheese Company, North Perrott Fruit Farm, Ali’s Homemade Produce, In Clover and Dandelion & Peacock. Crewkerne Farmers’ Market takes place from 9 am until 1 pm outside of the Henhayes Centre. Please remember to only attend the market if you are well, to adhere to social distancing, the one-way system, use the hand sanitiser provided and where possible shop on your own.
