NEW SHOP OPENS SELLING FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

A new shop, selling fresh fruit, vegetables, salad and other food products, opened this morning in the George Shopping Centre. The Veg Shed at Unit 9 in the popular shopping precinct, is a family run business which opened its first fruit and vegetable store at Kelly’s Yard, Parrett Works in Martock. Opening hours for the Veg Shed – Team Crewkerne are Tuesdays to Fridays inclusive from 8.30 am – 4.30 pm, Saturdays 9 am – 2 pm and Sundays 10 am – 1 pm. The shop will be closed on Mondays.

The Veg Shed also offers a free delivery service of pre-made boxes containing fresh produce, locally sourced where possible, within a 40 mile radius of Yeovil for minimum orders of £10. The local business is also supporting the Healthy Start voucher scheme and Too Good To Go campaign, against food waste. Company director Rodney Legg and his wife Hayley were seen earlier this week, busy preparing the shop for today’s opening. They are looking forward to meeting people in the town and serving the community of Crewkerne from their new retail outlet.
