Mini sagas written by students at Wadham School have been published in a Young Writers Anthology. The collection of dystopian short stories, based on the topic of being ‘Hunted’ were restricted to 100 words and selected from entries submitted by students across the country, in a creative writing competition for 11- 18 year olds. A spokesperson for Wadham School said: “We have received a copy of the SOS: Hunted Young Writers Anthology, in which quite a few of our students were published. A notable achievement! Congratulations to all those who have been published.”
Young Writers, established in 1991, run national writing competitions, throughout the academic year for nurseries, primary and secondary schools. When a competition closes, all of the entries are sent to the company’s editorial department, where regional anthologies are created. Every story is read and work is selected for publication, based on perception, imagination, expression, creativity and use of language.
