Takeaway breakfast baps and teas and coffees will be available at Henhayes Centre this weekend, while the flu clinics take place in a collection of gazebos outside the George Reynolds Centre. The Henhayes car park will be closed to the general public. Vaccinations against the flu virus for 65 year olds and over will be carried out by clinicians from Symphony Healthcare Services on Saturday October 3rd from 9 am until 4 pm and on Sunday the 4th from 9 am until 12 noon.
Those who have booked an appointment, have been given a time to arrive and will be met by a member of Crewkerne Health Centre administration team, who will ask them some screening questions before directing them to a clinician for their flu vaccination. Please attend on your own unless you have an essential carer and wear a face covering. Additional clinics for patients who are unable to attend this weekend will be provided. The dedicated flu phone line, to book a flu vaccination, is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 2 pm – 6 pm, call 01460 72435 and select option 4. If you have booked an appointment at this weekend’s flu clinic and are experiencing any of the following symptoms: high temperature, new continuous cough, loss of or a change of sense of smell or taste, please do not attend, self-isolate and arrange for a Covid test.
October opening hours for members of Henhayes Centre where teas and coffees will be served, within the strict Covid guidelines, are Mondays from 9 am – 4 pm and Thursdays from 9 am – 4 pm. The community centre is planning to hold a Chef’s Special Lunch and another exciting breakfast event, later this month. More details next week.
