Crewkerne Museum is inviting those who have not yet seen its pop-up exhibition on Clubs & Societies, to visit before it ends on October 31st. The showcase of artefacts and memorabilia, recalling local groups and events of yesteryear, includes black and white photographs of a Children’s Carnival Competition circa 1948 and Crewkerne Town Band circa 1925. The exhibition is open from 11 am – 2 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, October 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st, in the special downstairs exhibition room.
Crewkerne Museum Administrator, Janet Harris said: “We have lots of photos from our collection and memorabilia to help you reminisce. We’ve had a lot of fun putting on these pop-up exhibitions and creating a safe environment for all.” Entry is free to all visitors but the museum always welcomes donations. The main part of the museum remains closed and there is controlled access to the exhibition room. Social distancing measures are in place, hand sanitiser is available to use and visitors are reminded to please wear a face covering when stepping inside the building.
