Crewkerne Business Group will welcome a guest speaker on Economic Development at their next online meeting, which takes place on Thursday November 12th, between 9 am and 10 am. Joe Walsh, South Somerset District Council’s Economic Development Officer, will talk about his role, the future for Crewkerne and provide an update on the Covid-19 pandemic in the district. The business group will also hear from Rob Cottle of the Burger Shed, who is preparing to launch his new business in the town and as a town councillor, is also the liaison officer between Crewkerne Business Group and Crewkerne Town Council.
Sharing the common themes from last month’s online meeting, on what Crewkerne is great at and where it needs to grow is also on the business group’s agenda, along with the continuation of the successful breakout rooms, where members can have “greater conversation and more online interaction.” Leighton Ballantine of Ballantine Wealth Management, host of the Zoom meetings for CBG said: “We are back this month with a Lockdown2 edition! I think it is a great time for us to come together, show support for each other and interact with other local businesses.” Any local business that would like to join the new business group, or is interested but unable to connect at that time of the day, please email email@example.com.
