TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VETERINARY PRACTICE DUE TO COVID-19 CASES

Kingfisher Veterinary Practice branches in Crewkerne and Chard will be closed this week, due to some members of staff testing positive for Covid-19. The practice hopes that its surgeries at Tower Hill Road in Crewkerne and at Furnham Road in Chard, will be able to reopen for appointments on Monday February 8th but anyone who has an urgent need to contact either of theses two branches, can still phone the Crewkerne number 01460 72443, Chard 01460 66111, to arrange for their pet to be seen at a Kingfisher branch in Martock or in Taunton.

In a statement from Kingfisher Veterinary Practice, a spokesperson said: “Due to Coronavirus we have been forced to temporarily close our Crewkerne and Chard branches for the week starting the 1st of February. For urgent cases, please call the surgery on the usual number. For less urgent cases, we expect our surgeries to be open as normal, the following week. We regret any inconvenience this disruption in our service may cause and are looking at postponing most non-urgent cases booked for this week, to keep everyone safe.”

Those who have concerns about existing appointments for this week, that have not yet been re-arranged, are asked to please phone rather than send an email, as there is only a small team currently responding to emails, which may not be answered as promptly as is usually expected.
