FARMERS MARKET WELCOMES BACK CRAFT STALLS

Crewkerne Farmers’ Market is looking forward to welcoming back craft stalls to its monthly markets, held outside the town hall in Market Square from 9 am until 1 pm. This Saturday’s market, April 17th, will see the introduction of West Country Designs, offering a range of wooden products, decorated with West Country inspired illustrations. Farmers’ Market Co-ordinator Hannah said: “We are thrilled craft producers can return to our markets across Somerset, where you can find different and unique makers who compliment our food and drink producers.

“At Crewkerne this Saturday, we are excited to be joined by West Country Designs. Anna’s original designs feature animals, fruit and flowers, hand-drawn onto wooden chopping boards, coasters, spoons and spatulas, using the art of pyrography. Pyrography means ‘writing with fire’ and involves using a heated pen to etch a design onto the wood.”

This month’s line-up of local producers also includes; Ali’s Homemade Produce, Bower Hinton Farm Produce, North Perrott Fruit Farm, Mikes’ Pork, White’s of Wick, Buckshaw Milk Sheep, Dorset Dairy Company and In Clover. Please remember to only visit the market if you are well, maintain social distancing, wear a face covering where possible, sanitise your hands and shop alone when you are able to do so.
