PRESCHOOL CHILDREN ENJOY LEARNING ABOUT DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRANSPORT

Children at Jigsaw Preschool in Crewkerne are enjoying learning about the different types of transport. The youngsters have been making fire engines from shapes, singing songs about buses, cars and trains and listening to Fireman Sam and Thomas the Tank stories. They have also had lots of fun pretending to be trains and aeroplanes in the Henhayes recreational field.

A spokesperson for Jigsaw Preschool said: “We used transport stamps to make paintings, drew around stencils and pushed model vehicles through sand, water and coloured rice. The children are really enjoying the theme and next week they will be learning about people’s jobs and the vehicles they drive. We will also be having a visit from a road sweeper, which the children are very excited about.”

Jigsaw Preschool meets at the George Reynolds Centre, during term time on Mondays to Fridays. The Preschool caters for all children aged two years to four years and has available spaces for September.
