FREE WORKSHOP IN CPR OFFERED AT PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL AND FITNESS CENTRE

Crewkerne Aqua Centre is offering a free workshop in CPR, for anyone over 16 years of age. The workshop will be run by one of the lifeguard trainers at the public swimming pool and gym/physical fitness centre, situated at Henhayes in Crewkerne.

The importance of learning how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation was highlighted during Saturday’s UEFA Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland. The opening Group B match at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen was stopped, when Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch and needed CPR from the medical team, who responded quickly to the emergency.
