SCHOOL STUDENTS PREPARE FOR TEN MILE CROSS COUNTRY CHARITY WALKS

Wadham School students are preparing for their 10 mile cross country walks for their chosen charities. The fundraising walks will take place next week, on Wednesday July 14th for Years 9 and 12, who are raising money for the Yeovil Hospital Charity and on July 15th for Year 10, who are raising money for the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital and supporting Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal.

A spokesperson for Wadham School said: “The 10 mile cross country walk is an annual event and each year the school chooses different charities to raise money for. Year 9 and 12 are doing this to support Yeovil Hospital’s hard working staff through this coronavirus pandemic and Year 10 students are raising money to support the great work done at Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital, who are currently caring for one of our Year 10 students.”

The cross country walks will start and finish at Wadham School. Anyone who wishes to donate to one or both of the chosen charities, can do so through the fundraising page/s on www.justgiving.com/fundraising/wadham-school selecting to add -year9-12-walk or -year10-walk at the end of the above website link.
