NEXT PLANNING AND HIGHWAYS AND AMENITIES COMMITTEE MEETINGS OF TOWN COUNCIL

The next meetings of Crewkerne Town Council, Planning and Highways and Amenities Committees, takes place remotely today, Monday July 12th at 6.45 pm. The Agenda for the Planning and Highways meeting includes the Clerk’s update report, a report from Cllr Bond regarding the overgrown hedge on North Street, consideration of the suggestions for names put forward for roads on Crewkerne Key Site, correspondence received from residents regarding the pedestrian crossing on Hermitage Street, road diversion during the annual fair and overhanging undergrowth and branches on the A356 at North Street. Councillors will also consider new planning applications received by South Somerset District Council and note recent planning decisions made by SSDC.

On the Agenda for the meeting of the Amenities Committee, which will not commence before 7 pm, are an update report from the Amenities Chairman, recommendation to modify the route of the proposed pathway at Henhayes, to avoid damaging the nearby turkey oak, refurbishment of Severalls tennis courts and a report from Cllr Samuel on proposed environment initiatives.
